Getting started

Download Ebb from the App Store, open it, and you're ready to log your first check-in — no account required to get started. If you'd like your history backed up across devices, you can optionally sign in with iCloud from Settings.

The Apple Watch companion app installs automatically alongside the iPhone app if you have a paired watch. You can find it under the Watch app's list of installed apps.

Tip: Add Ebb to your watch face as a complication for one-tap logging throughout the day.

Logging your mood

Each check-in takes a few seconds: pick how you're feeling, optionally add a short note or tag (work, sleep, social, exercise, etc.), and save. You can log as many times a day as you like — most people find once or twice a day is plenty.

Missed a day? You can always add or edit a past entry from the History tab. Ebb doesn't use streaks or guilt-based reminders — gentle daily notifications are optional and can be turned off entirely in Settings.

Understanding your insights

The Insights tab shows simple trends over time: a weekly and monthly average, and how your mood correlates with any tags you've added. There are no scores to optimize and no comparisons to other users — insights are just for you.

You can export your full history at any time as a CSV from Settings → Export Data, useful if you want to share trends with a therapist or keep your own backup.

Apple Watch app

The watch app mirrors the core check-in flow: tap your current mood and it syncs instantly with your iPhone. It works standalone too, so you can log a mood even if your phone isn't nearby — it'll sync next time the devices connect.

watchOS complications are supported for the Modular, Infograph, and Utility watch faces.

Privacy & your data

Ebb doesn't run ads and doesn't use third-party analytics or ad trackers. Your mood entries are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account — not on our servers.

We don't sell or share your data. If you contact us through the site's contact form, we use that information only to respond to you.
